Pierre Thielen

Pierre Thielen is mainly handling corporate and financial law matters. As director of several private equity companies, he has acquired expert knowledge in the fields of acquisitions and restructurings.

A seasoned litigator, he regularly intervenes in complex corporate matters, shareholder disputes and liability litigation.

Pierre Thielen is regularly appointed arbitrator and in his capacity as qualified mediator has gained in-depth experience in the field of alternative dispute resolutions.

His personal and professional skills have let him to be elected President of the Luxembourg Bar Association in 2001. As past president of the Bar, he ensures in particular that the firm's lawyers commit to the highest professional standards.

Prior to his nomination to the Civil Service Tribunal of the European Union, Haris Tagaras was member of the Competition Commission and the National Telecommunications and Post Commission in Greece, as well as member of the Standing Committee of the Lugano Convention. In the first semester of 2003 he acted as president of the Civil Law Committee of the E.U. Council for the adoption of the European Enforcement Order Regulation (No 805/04)

After the end of his term of office at the Civil Service Tribunal, he acted again as lawyer and university professor. He was also appointed, to exercise jurisdictional and quasi-jurisdictional functions, at other international organizations and was recently elected Director of the Sector of International and European Studies at his University Department.

Haris Tagaras is the author of numerous books and articles in legal reviews, in Greek, French and English, a frequent presenter in national and international conferences, a member of the publication committee of the Cahiers de droit européen, an associated member of the International Academy of Comparative Law and member of the Board of the European Bar Human Rights Institute.

Peggy Goossens, head of the litigation department, mainly handles litigation matters relating to contractual and non-contractual liability as well as cases relating to civil and commercial contracts.

She has also gained a large experience in Real estate and construction law  as well as in transport and sale of products law.

As a member of the Mons Bar in Belgium, Peggy can take on such cross border matters that also require appropriate actions before the Belgian courts
